What is Pepero?
Pepero is a popular Korean snack. It's basically just a chocolate coated cookie stick like our pretzel sticks only thinner. Manufactured by Lotte and available in other flavors.
Pepero Day
Celebrated like a Valentine's Day in South Korea every November 11. It said to be stared in 1994 by middle school girls from Busan who gave pepero as a gift to one another to grow tall and slender like Pepero sticks. Now a days Pepero Day is celebrated by most young couple by giving their partners Pepero and gifts to each others.
Where can you buy Pepero here in Manila?
You can find these on Korean Groceries like Nice Mart in West Avenue. It's the nearest one from my place. From SM North ride a jeepney going to Quiapo and drop off to Bulacan Street. It's beside Starbucks Coffee. There's also a Korean Wholesale in Cubao aroun Farmer's Market.
