Most Koreans have really nice skin. Fair, flawless white complexion that most Filipinos would want to have. Therefore, just like Korean music and fashion,it’s not a surprise that Korean brand of cosmetics started to boom here in Manila as well. Specially that the endorsers are your favorite Kpop idols. Here are some of the popular Korean brands here in Manila:
Etude House
Known for it’s pink and white interior, any girl would feel like a princess surrounded with makeups and other skin care products. Not to mention their super affordable prices. They have the least expensive bb cream I have ever seen. Almost half the price compare to others and yet it still gives perfect coverage.

Even before I knew the growing kpop craze here in Manila I am already aware of this brand. They are known for their organic products. Comparing the price to EH they are alittle more expensive but yet not like other brands. It’s easy to find a store around Manila for it has the most branches among Korean brands.

One of the newest brand of Korean cosmetics here in Manila having only two branches. Missha has been earlier a popular brand among internet users and now they’re here! They have bb cream ranges from 599 to 2000++

Tony Moly
Of all Korean brands here in Manila Tony Moly is the noisiest and they’re the only store I heard playing kpop songs the whole time. But the volume is too high. They have white interior making the store really bright and welcoming. Their false lashes are less expensive. Try their Tomatox it really whitens your skin and lighten your pimple marks.

Skin Food
WIth it’s yellowish and white ambiance the store looks bright and lively. They have the principle of “To protect your skin in 14 years, not in 14 days”.Their products are the foods that are good for your health and now made for your skin. Though I find it too pricey.

Probably the most expensive Korean brand I have ever seen. Their bb cream is almost trice the price of Etude House. Leneige means white snow in french. Pursues the artistic concept of snow crystals through the hydrating science of water. They have white and blue interior and is famous for their skin care products.

Nature Republic
Nature Republic recently opened in Alabang Town Center and just this week the opened their 2nd branch at SM North the block. Most if their products are natural. I haven't tried anything from the yet but I'm planing to buy some sooner or later.

Though most of my products arefromEtude House I’m alittle sceptic in using these products. These are made in Korea and for Koreans. The weather and their skin types are very much different from ours. But then again if the products works for you I don’t see anything wrong with using it. Just remember that not only because your favorite Kpop idol is endorsing it, it means you have to get one. Find a product that suits you well and that is not a waste of money!
